Iran plans to export 4 million tons of wheat
Iran plans to export four million tons of wheat in the current agricultural year, Deputy Trade Minister Hamid Alikhan said, adding that this decision comes from the Iranian government, reports Iran News.
According to the minister, last year Iran exported about 1 million tons of wheat: 400 thousand tons in the form of grain and 600 thousand tons of grain in processed products (food and flour). Importers of Iranian wheat included 13 different countries. Hamid Alikhan also hoped to expand the export market this year. This year Iran also intends to sell wheat to Iraq, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
