Russia and Turkmenistan hold consultations on Caspian Sea
On Monday, a meeting took place between the State Secretary and Deputy Foreign
Minister of Russia, Grigory Karasin, and the Chairman of the State
Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the Turkmen President, Murat
Atajanov, Trend reports referring to the press service of
the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Participants in the meeting discussed issues of bilateral cooperation
in the Caspian region. They discussed problems of implementing the
decisions of the Third Caspian Summit in Baku, which took place in
2010, as well as the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
Atajanov also held consultations on Caspian issues with the special
presentative of the President of Russia on the delimitation and
demarcation of the state border with the neighboring CIS countries, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign
Minister, Igor Bratchikov.
