Azerbaijan to build over 60 small dams

Azerbaijan has hydro potential to produce 40 billion KW/h and technical potential for 16 billion KW/h. Small dams may produce 5 billion KW/h, Trend reports.

The State Company for Alternate Energy says that the country would benefit by building over 60 small dams on rivers. It would electrify residential areas annd reduce dependence on fuel.

Over 50 of the largest food enterprises of Belarus will present their products at the 21st WorldFood Exhibition in Baku on May 21-23. The Belarusian embassy in Baku noted that the Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations were dynamically developing and complemented by mutual visits of their presidents and prime ministers. Azerbaijan has submitted the strategic plan and technical specifications of its first nuclear reactor to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the head of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies, Vidadi Zeynalov, said.The strategic plan and technical specifications of the first national research nuclear reactor have been made with the assistance of the  French company AREVA.
