Low-cost Wizz Air launches flights to Baku

 Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air launches flights to Baku at fantastically low prices. 


Wizz Air started to sell tickets for flight Budapest-Baku and Baku-Budapest, announced the company's Commercial Department’s director Gyorgy Abran today in Baku.


"Flights on this route will start from 17 June. The one-way ticket price will be 59.99 euro, including taxes. In general, the flight will be carried out twice a week. Budapest-Baku flight will be conducted on Mondays and Fridays and Baku-Budapest on Tuesdays and Saturdays (departure from Baku at 3:55 am)," Abran said.


For his part, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov emphasized that the flight opens on the decision of the III meeting of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, held in Budapest in October 2012.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev noted that the interest of Hungarians to Azerbaijan is growing. "Earlier we gave 300-400 visas a year, and now at least 600," Guliyev said.


Wizz Air is today the only one low-cost company opening air communication with Azerbaijan.
