Armenia’s Republican Party gets additional five votes

Recount of votes for elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders at polling station N1, initiated by the Armenian National Congress, has resulted in five additional votes for the Republican Party, reports.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov in Moscow, APA reports.Mammadyarov noted that Russia was trying to give the peaceful process a push. He expressed hope that the negotiations will activate.In his words, the status quo of the conflict was unacceptable. Mammadyarov added that Armenia should withdraw forces from the occupied territories of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Armenian ex-Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan discussed the need for the luxury tax and initiated amendments to the law on excise taxes in 2011, reports.Sargsyan’s law only affects luxury cars. Prime Minister Ovik Abramyan scrapped the law, freeing importers of luxury vehicles (worth about $61,000 and above) from paying 20% of the excise tax.
