Armenia’s Republican Party gets additional five votes

Recount of votes for elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders at polling station N1, initiated by the Armenian National Congress, has resulted in five additional votes for the Republican Party, reports.

A court has fined Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan for calling a monument to Armenian-Turkish friendship a “monstrosity” and ruled that Erdogan must pay 10,000 liras to Mehmet Aksoy, the sculptor of 'Monument to Humanity', Hurriyet Daily News reports.  When serving as Turkish prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the monument to Armenian-Turkish friendship “monstrous” during a visit to the Kars region in 2011.

Member of the Armenian parliament Melik Manukyan has called off his petition on giving up his parliamentary seat, the speaker of the Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan said during the extraordinary session. Manukyan, owner of the  'Saranist' glass factory, decided to leave the National Assembly, President Serzh Sargsyan slammed the leader of Prosperous Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan during his speech on February 12, reminds.
