Russia to build suicide bomb detectors
The Russian Interior Ministry plans to spend over 39 million rubles to construct suicide bomb detectors, RIA Novosti reports.
The gadgets will detect bombs with projectiles hidden under clothes at a distance of 10 meters. They will have a detection chance of at least 98%. The machines should take a maximum of 5 minutes to be ready and should have a signal processing speed of no more than 0.5 seconds.
Applications for developing the detectors can be sent until January 29. The winner will be named on February 12 and will have until November 15, 2016, to build the detectors.
