Customs Union will be useful for all Caucasian states, Russian presidential aide says
Joining the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus will be useful for all Caucasian states, Russian presidential aide Sergey Glazyev says. The body is also interested in enhanced cooperation with Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Glazyev stresses.
"Right now we are trying to reestablish economic ties with Armenia, which is going to join the Customs Union. We are trying to establish a common economic space in order to enhance mutual cooperation," Glazyev says.
Successful cooperation with the member-states of the Customs Union is in Georgia's best interests as well, while Russia and Azerbaijan could cooperate in the sphere of oil production, the official says.
