Berdimuhamedov and Rouhani to hold talks in Ashgabat
The Turkmen Foreign Ministry has reported that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will hold talks with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat.
The heads of Iran and Turkmenistan, according to experts, will discuss the development of trade, economic and cultural cooperation, the situation in Afghanistan and the region, as well as Caspian problems.
The parties will pay special attention to their partnership in the energy sector.
A package of bilateral documents is planned to be signed at the highest level following the Turkmen-Iranian talks.
Issues of the Iranian President's visit to Ashgabat were discussed at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed "the dynamic bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere."“The number of major joint projects implemented in various industries testify to this," he said.
