Ministers of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Germany hold talks
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri, has met with his German counterpart Thomas de Maiziere. They discussed the progress achieved by Georgia to implement the Visa Liberalization Action Plan and prospects of cooperation in the policing sphere.
"This was my first official visit to Germany, I met the head of the Interior Ministry of Germany for the second time. The first meeting was held in Riga, during the ministerial. We discussed visa liberalization, which is one of the important priorities for our country. We also tackled the issue of the fight against organized crime. During this year we have significantly improved our cooperation. I hope that our cooperation will be enhanced due to the fact that in the very near future our police attaché will be sent to Germany, which will make our relations even simpler," Georgia Online cited Gomelauri as saying.
