Tbilisi hosts tea and honey festival

56-year-old David Mosisyan, a beekeeper from Beniamin (Shirak Region, Armenia), won the Tbilisoba two-day festival of tea and honey in Tbilisi. Apiarist Ovannes Petoyan of the Multi Agro Company won the honey contest, ArmInfor reports.

Adem Ertas, a beekeeper of the Antik Ani Bal Company (Turkey) won the Best Honey Prize. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia took part in the contest.

Georgia, Armenia and Turkey competed for the best cheese at the Ashot cheese factory. The Oshakan wine factory held a wine competition called Caucasian Flavour.

Oskari Pentikaynen, a manager of International Alert, presented the Caucasian Tea package.


The festival was organized in Tbilisi by the Caucasian Business and Development Network, an organization founded in 2005 with offices in Yerevan, Baku, Gumri, Kutaisi, Kars. Tbilisi, Sukhumi and Tskhinvali.
