Turkmenistan organizes special flight to Mecca for pilgrims

Turkmenkhovayellary, the state airlines of Turkmenistan, organized a special flight of 188 pilgrims to Mecca and Medina (Saudi Arabia) on a Boeing-757, Trend reports.


Turkmenistan has been sponsoring pilgrims' visits to Mecca since 2001.

400 residents of Kabardino-Balkaria will make the hajj this year, said Kabardino-Balkarian Deputy Mufti Khizir Misirov, coordinating the hajj. Russia was given a quota of 16,400 hajj tours this year, all of them already booked.The first group of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will depart on September 19. They will travel to Amman by plane, then take a bus. The journey will cost $3,300. The second group will set off for Medina on September 21. The hajj will cost $3,850. Both groups will fly from Mineralniye Vody. Their pilgrimage will take 20-30 days.

Turkey has extradited the head of a terrorist structure recruiting Islamists in France for war in Syria. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that the man extradited from Turkey to Paris was operating in Toulouse and Strasbourg, ITAR-TASS reports.About 900 French citizens are fighting or have undergone training in the ranks of Islamists in the Middle East, mainly in Syria, Iraq and North Africa. Some of them were members of the ISIS. France has the highest number of radical Islamists in Europe.
