Kadyrov awarded main order of Muslims of Russia

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has been awarded the highest order of Russian Muslims - the Order of Merit.

The relevant decision, which was taken by the Council of Muftis of Russia, was announced by the chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Asian Russia, Nafiguly Ashirov, at the opening ceremony of a restored mosque in the city of Tomsk.

"For high service to the cause of strengthening international peace and harmony in society and his significant contribution to the restoration of an historical relic of Tomsk Muslims - the mosque of the city of Tomsk, to award the Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov with the highest order of the Muslims of Russia, the Order of Merit.
