Vestnik Kavkaza and Trend news agencies sign partnership agreement

The Russian information and analysis agency Vestnik Kavkaza and the Azerbaijani agency of international information Trend have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed today in Baku by the Director General of Trend Ilgar Guseynov and the Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza Alexey Vlasov.

Aul Khabez in Karachay-Cherkessia will hold the first 'Caucasus Games'on October 9, supported by the Russian presidential envoy to the NorthCaucasus Federal District (NCFD) Alexander Khloponin, the departmentfor interior policy affairs of Khloponin told Vestnik Kavkaza.The games are part of the cultural program of the Winter Olympic Gamesin Sochi in 2014. A boxing hall will be reconstructed in the Belimkhanov sports complex in Grozny, capital of the Republic of Chechnya, in 2011. The buildig will be included in the regional Center for training for Russian national teams, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Sport Ministry of Chechnya. The boxing hall of the Belimkhanov sprots complex contains of three rooms. They will be restored according to the latest standrads.

The first set of houses for "Olympic settlers" is built in Sochi.Construction of 24 houses has finished in Tavricheskaya Street inSochi, for those citizens whose property is being seized in connectionwith the preparations for the 2014 Olympics, Yuga reports.Altogether 171 residential houses will be constructed on Tavricheskayastreet, with floorspaces of 270 square meters and a total landconstruction area of nearly 16 acres. Construction of a second set ofhouses is expected to be completed by late 2010.

The Sports Minister of the Russian Federation, Vitaly Mutko, and the president of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, met today. They discussed the development of sports in the republic and possible construction and finance of sports facilities, RIA Novosti reports.After the meeting Yevkurov said: "I heard many interesting thoughts. All my questions were answered." According to Yevkurov, the republic needs a sports complex, but Ingushetia cannot finance such a facility.
