Rating agencies have turned against Russia

Moody's ratings agency has shifted Russia's government bond rating to Baa3/Prime 3 from Baa2/Prime 2, the agency has said in a statement.  Moody's said it also “lowered Russia's country ceilings for foreign currency debt to Baa3/Prime 3 from Baa2/Prime 2.  

Leading Russian companies fall in Fitch’s rating

The international rating agency Fitch announced a decrease of the ratings and a worsening of the forecasts for 13 major Russian companies.The foreign and national currency IDR of Gazprom, LUKOIL and Russian Railways were decreased from BBB to BBB-. NOVATEK’s rating remained at the level of BBB-, but the forecast was changed to a negative one.Ratings by Fitch show that the companies are restricted by the sovereign rating at the moment, RIA Novosti reports. 

Lastochka trains to stay in Sochi

Lastochka trains with 5 carriages will continue transporting passengers on the Sochi - Rosa Khutor route (6 pairs of trains a day) and the Tuapse - Olimpiysky Park ( 6 pairs a day), starting on December 20, 2014, reports.They will continue serving Russian Railways until they are transferred to Kuban Express-Prigorod.Lastochka trains were put into commission on March 20, 2014. About 1.5 billion rubles were lost by Russian Railways as a result of price regulations.
