Amendments to Turkish Constitution to be presented in near future

Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus underscored on Monday that drafting a new constitution and carrying out political reforms including presidential system are the newly formed 65th government's priorities, Daily Sabah reports.

Speaking to reporters following a cabinet meeting, Kurtulmus said that Turkey will continue revolution with the 65th government, and will continue toward its target to be one of the world's top 10 economies.

"We want to present draft on presidential system to parliament as soon as possible," Kurtulmuş said and added that no snap elections would be held, as it would be disrespectful to voters who just voted in the November 1 elections.
