Andranik Kocharyan: we must establish diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan
Chair of the commission on Armenia's defense and national security Andranik Kocharyan said that it is necessary to establish diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan.
"We lost both on the battlefield, both morally and psychologically. It is necessary to get out of this situation as soon as possible. It is necessary to try to start a dialogue with the winning side, however difficult it may be. The establishment of diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan may change the expected prospects," Kocharian said.
According to him, diplomacy should be based on an assessment of all economic, military, moral, and psychological risks.
The Karabakh war ended on the night of November 9-10, 2020 with the victory of Azerbaijan. From November 10 to 30, the Armenian troops were withdrawn from the Aghdam, Kalbajar and Lachin regions. The territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was restored on December 1.
