Armenia’s population decreases by 12000 people last year

During the last three months the Armenian population decreased by 4200 people.

According to the National Statistical Service, based on the 2011 census, 2 998 600 people lived in the country as of January 1st 2016, which is 12 thousand people fewer than in the same period in 2015, Epress.am reports.

Recall, it fell by 24 400 people in five years, and by 634.7 thousand people since independence in 1991.
