Armenia reports 196 new COVID-19 cases
Coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 196 in the past twenty-four hours to 44,271, the republic’s Health Ministry reported.
"In the past twenty-four hours, 196 new coronavirus cases were identified. The total number of infected people stands at 44,271," the Armenian media cited the statement as saying.
Three coronavirus patients died at Armenian hospitals in the past day, bringing fatalities to 887 since the start of the pandemic in the republic, the latest data indicate.
To date, 38,855 people have recovered from the disease, Sputnik Armenia reported.
Armenia extended a state of emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak until September 11.
