Armenian occupying military units refuse to leave Karabakh

Armenia's occupying military formations refuse to lay down their arms and leave Karabakh and other regions of Azerbaijan.

According to informed sources in the Azerbaijani armed forces, for three days already, difficult negotiations have been conducted between the commanders of several Armenian military formations, Russian peacekeepers and a number of high-ranking Armenian military personnel, with the participation of the Armenian politician playing the role of the "president" of the fake regime created by Yerevan in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, Arayik Harutyunyan

The heads of these formations want Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to abandon the concluded agreement, as well as the recognition of the independence of Karabakh. Otherwise, they threaten to "engage in battle with any army" that will try to facilitate the withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied territories.

On November 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on a complete ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian leader said the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides would remain on the positions they hold and Russian peacekeepers would be deployed to the region. Besides, Armenia and Azerbaijan should carry out the exchange of prisoners of war and the bodies of those killed. Aghdam region will be returned to Azerbaijan before November 20, Kelbajar region - before November 15, Lachin region - before December 1.
