Azerbaijani army takes straight road to Lachin
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced the liberation of a number of settlements, including the strategically important village of Khanlig, which is located on the road leading from the already de-occupied territories of Zangilan region to the north, to Lachin.
Thus, now the Azerbaijani army has the necessary springboard for rapid advancement to the Lachin corridor.
This means that Azerbaijan's counter-offensive operation will develop according to the previously predicted scenario: along the route to the gorge, the army heads to the north, takes control of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border from Zangalin to Lachin, enters Lachin and thus cuts off the occupation troops from Armenia, since the roads from Syunik to Zangilan and from Vardenis to Agder are already controlled by the Azerbaijani military.
Addressing the nation, the Azerbaijani leader has announced the names of villages of Zangilan, Jabrayil and Gubadli districts, which were liberated from the occupation yesterday: Birinji Alibayli, Ikinji Alibayli, Raband, Yenikand in Zangilan district, Govshudlu, Sofulu, Dagh Mashanli, Kurdlar, Hovuslu, Chalabilar in Jabrayil district, Padar, Afandilar, Yusifbayli, Chaytumas, Khanlig, Sariyatag, Mollaburhan and the city of Gubadli in Gubadli district.
