Azerbaijani judokas win silver and gold at World Championships in Japan
Azerbaijani judokas Rustam Orujov and Hidayat Heydarov have grabbed two medals at the World Championships in Tokyo, the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza reported.
Orujov won a silver medal after losing to Japanese Shohei Ono in the 73kg final. On the way to the final, he defeated Belarus Vadzim Shoka, Greek Georgios Markarian, Canadian Constantin Gabun, Israeli Tohar Butbul and his teammate Hidayat Heydarov.
Hidayat Heydarov won a bronze medal after beating Tajik Somon Makhmadbekov. Heydarov sealed the medal in the men`s 73kg weight class.
