Belgium asks US to help investigate Brussels attacks
Belgium has asked the US for further assistance in the investigation of the terrorist attacks in Brussels.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Federal Bureau of Investigation began its own inquiry, as soon as it emerged that Americans were killed in the attacks. In connection with the apparent inability of the Belgian authorities to cope with the situation, the FBI has sent additional agents to Brussels.
In recent days Belgium has begun sharing more information, according to US officials. The Belgians have shared copies of laptop hard drives and mobile phones seized in recent raids.
Recall, Interpol is helping the Belgian authorities in the investigation.
