Brigita Budginas marks extraordinary level of sports tournaments in Baku
In Baku, the level of sports tournaments is extraordinary, the Lithuanian gymnast Brigita Budginas said in an interview with a Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent after her performance in qualifying exercises with clubs at the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.
”Baku organises the best competitions in the world! The way everyone is greeted, how everything is scheduled in minutes, how easy it is for athletes to navigate - all is worth of admiration. Thanks to such an organization, the competitions are easier," she said.
"The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation is one of the best global federations. They have provided everything needed for all athletes, so that we can show everything we are capable of. The ideal conditions have been created for us, including an incredible warm atmosphere," Brigita Budginas added.
"Therefore, I am very pleased with my performance. This is the culmination of the whole season, in Baku, I showed the best I can do," the Lithuanian gymnast concluded.
This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”
