Burjanadze: Georgia did not receive any guarantees from NATO
The leader of the 'Democratic Movement' party, Nino Burjanadze, commenting on the outcome of the NATO ministerial, which ended today in Brussels, stated that Georgia has not received any guarantees from NATO about the possibility of joining the alliance.
Earlier, the Georgian government repeatedly stated that they hope to receive the Action Plan for NATO membership at the alliance summit, which will be held in Warsaw in July of 2016.
"We have not received guarantees for membership in NATO or for the Action Plan. In contrast to the statements of our irresponsible authorities, who promise that we will join NATO even without an Action Plan, today NATO officials unequivocally stated that it is an integral part of the accession process," Sputnik Georgia quotes Burjanadze as saying.
