Canadian team: We adore tournaments in Baku!
Baku can only be adored for its traditions of holding tournaments for gymnasts, a gymnast of the Canadian team said today in a conversation with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after qualifying in the exercise with three balls and two skipping ropes at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
"We are here for the second time, and we want to say that we adore Baku. This is our favorite competition of the year! " they confessed.
"We like absolutely everything here: the hotel, arena, hall, spectators, the impeccable organization of the performances. The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation arranges very pleasant competitions, we love Baku very much for this, " the Canadian gymnasts underlined.
"And we love Baku spectators - they accept and support us at the highest level," the athletes added.
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries are participating in the tournament. Depending on the results of the qualification, the winners of all-around and the participants of the finals in individual apparatus in both types of programs will be determined. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
