Caucasus has celebrated Orthodox Easter and Labour Day

Residents of the Caucasian republics Russia have celebrated the Orthodox Easter and Labour Day on May 1st. Solemn liturgies took place at the Orthodox churches and  first may demonstrations walked alone central streets of cities. In addition, the Holy Fire in the republic was delivered with a help of a direct flight from Jerusalem to Ingushetia, as well as  North and South Ossetia for the first time in the modern history.

Head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, was in the Sunzha district during the celebration of Easter. He said in his address that the world events show that we need to strengthen interfaith relations.
