Chizhov: Western media cause EU and NATO's fears of Russia
Russia's Permanent Representative to the European Union, Vladimir Chizhov, believes that the EU and NATO's possible fears of Russia arose only because of the effects of western propaganda.
"If there are any signs of fear, which I think you exaggerate, it's disappointing," he said in an interview with the BBC.
"I would put all the responsibility on the media, including your channel," the Russian diplomat added.
He stressed that, according to many people, western propaganda distorts reality and presents Russia as an aggressor. These fears are reinforced by official statements of both civil and military officials of the EU and the US, he said.
