Covid-19 death toll hits record in Russia

Over the past 24 hours, 590 people with confirmed coronavirus died in Russia, the message of the Operational Headquarters on preventing the coronavirus spread informs.

This is a record figure since the beginning of 2021. The previous maximum was recorded on January 14 (570 people).

The first place in terms of the number of deaths per day is taken by Moscow, where 79 people died from Covid-19 (in total, 12,400). It is followed by St. Petersburg, where 67 deaths were registered (in total, - 8,700), and the Moscow region (32 deaths per day, in total - 3,200).
