Crimea lost nothing due to Western sanctions, Aksenov says
Crimea has not lost anything due to Western sanctions, except for missed opportunities,” the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov said.
"We are trying to break down sanctions barriers. Sanctions are more about missed opportunities for Crimea. There were never any foreign investments in Crimea before 2014, so we have not lost anything," Aksyonov said, speaking to students of the MGIMO Department of Management and Politics, RIA News informs.
In his speech, the head of Crimea noted: if there were no sanctions regime, this would give the region’s economy additional opportunities.
