Criminal case initiated into road accident on highway near Armavir
In Armavir a criminal case has been initiated into a road accident involving a bus which was travelling to Armenia.
"As a result of the road accident one of the drivers and a passenger died, 12 people were taken to hospitals for medical treatment. All the dead and injured were citizens of the Republic of Armenia," TASS quoted the regional prosecutor's office.
On August 17 on the Kavkaz federal highway near the town of Armavir a 50-year-old "Mercedes-Sprinter" minibus driver, travelling from Yerevan to Anapa with 20 passengers, lost control, veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
The circumstances of the road accident are being investigated. The case was initiated under Article 264 of the Russian Criminal Code 'Violation of traffic rules or operation of vehicles entailing the deaths of two or more persons by a person driving a vehicle'.
