Demonstrating hostility to Russia, US will receive rebuff, says diplomat
Demonstrating hostility towards Moscow, Washington will receive a tougher response, according to the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov’s commentary on accusations against the Russian national Elena Khusyaynova with conspiring to interfere with the US elections released on Saturday.
"Demonstrating hostility to Russia and contempt for the whole world, they will only receive an increasingly tough response," the diplomat stressed, TASS reports.
According to Ryabkov, Washington is creating a pretext for yet another round of anti-Russia sanctions. "The US is obviously overrating its abilities," he emphasized.
"Washington is fabricating a pretext for imposing the notorious sanctions once again against our country," the diplomat said.
The US authorities continue horrifying their own and global community with "Russian hackers and bloggers" as they have accused yet another Russian national of attempts to affect the US voters’ sentiment in the lead-up to the congressional election, he added.
Washington is trying to play the card of a mythical ‘hand of Moscow’ in the lead-up to the US congressional election in November, Ryabkov said.
"After spreading lies regarding the mythical ‘hand of Moscow’ for more than two years, since the latest presidential election, Washington is now trying to play the same card in the lead-up to the upcoming election day of November 6 in the US," the diplomat said.
