Earthquake hits Armenia Wednesday

A magnitude-2.6 earthquake was registered Wednesday in the Armenia-Nakhchivan border zone, at 1:16pm local time, 8 km northwest of Yelpin village in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province, and 10 km beneath the surface, News.am reports. 

The seismic activity measured magnitude 3 to 4 at the epicenter, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The tremor was felt in Zangakatun and Lanjar villages of Ararat Province—and with a magnitude of 3.
