Erdogan hands over seat to fourth grader for Children’s Day
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has transferred his seat to fourth grade student Yigit Türk in honor of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
When the 10-year-old President was asked whether he considers being the chair of the Justice and Development (AK) Party, he responded 'Why not?'
"Just as he says, if he has the permission to do so, why wouldn't he," the Daily Sabah cited Erdoğan as saying.
Speaking before giving his seat, Erdoğan noted the importance of Turkey being the only country in the world that celebrated a national day for children.
