Famous composer, pianist and pedagogue Andrei Eshpay dies
Today in Moscow, at the age of 90, the famous Soviet and Russian composer, pianist and pedagogue Andrei Eshpay died, the Composers' Union of Russia reported.
"Andrei Yakovlevich died on Sunday at the age of 90 from the consequences of a stroke," Interfax cited the report.
Andrei Eshpay was a People's Artist of the USSR, winner of the Lenin Prize and the State Prize of USSR, and the USSR Composers Union. He wrote music for more than 50 performances of drama theater and films.
