Firefighters use helicopters to extinguish market fire outside Moscow
Russian firefighters yesterday used specially equipped helicopters to dump water at the Sindika building materials marketplace at the Moscow circular road.
At 07:00 am firefighters successfully extinguished the fires, the regional emergency department said.
A number of cars have exploded at the underground parking garage of the Sindika trade center, a source in the emergencies services said.
"Several cars have exploded at the underground parking lot. It is engulfed in fire," TASS cited the source as saying.
The fire started at the basement floor of the storehouse. All clients and personnel have been evacuated. The fire has been assigned the third degree of complexity. The fire-consumed area id about 3,000 square meters. Flames spread to the roof of the building in some sections.
