First Champions of First European Games celebrated in House of Fans
Yesterday evening the first Russian champions of the First European Games in Baku, classical style wrestlers Stepan Maranyan (59 kg), Eugene Saleev (80 kg) and Islam Magomedov (98 kg), were greeted with honors in the House of Fans. Representatives of the Russian Olympic Committee, distinguished guests, fans and journalists came to congratulate them on their victory.
"The guys have already gone down in history, and I want to congratulate them that the first day of the Games began with our victory," he said. For all of us it is very important that we started with three gold medals," the Russian presidential aide, Vice President of the ROC Igor Levitin said at a press release in the House of Fans.
