Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan: Nagorno-Karabakh conflict threatens regional cooperation
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a meeting with his Turkish and Georgian counterparts that the unresolved situation in Nagorno-Karabakh poses a danger to regional cooperation.
"There is a need to respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders of states, as well as to move away from from aggressive policies in order to preserve peace and stability in the region. Failure in the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict is the greatest threat to regional cooperation," APA cited Mammadyarov as saying.
The minister said that Armenia is excluded from all regional projects due to its occupation policy.
Tbilisi is hosting a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. One of the main topics of discussion was the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
