Georges Guelzec: AGF has a great team of professionals

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has a great team of professionals, ex-President, Honorary President of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) Georges Guelzec said at the sidelines of the European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.

"I've been to Baku many times, and all events here are organized perfectly, at the highest level, there are no problems. I also know that everything is well organized in the AGF, it has a great team of professionals, which is extremely important for the work process," he explained.

He also praised the new UEG President Farid Gaibov, who previously worked as the Secretary General of the AGF. "I know Farid for a long time, he is a very clever, hardworking person, he has a wonderful team," he said.

He stressed that without effective organization of the federation's work, like in the AGF, it's impossible to achieve any significant results. "In order to develop any kind of sport many parameters must be taken into account. You must have a clear plan, everything must be done step by step," he concluded..

The 26th European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline is currently held in Baku. More than 400 gymnasts from 25 countries are expected to participate in it. In the first two days of the competitions, qualifications for all types of events both among junior and senior gymnasts as well as finals among teams were held, on the last day, medalists will be known in all four types of the gymnastics events.
