Georgia and Russia may cancel visa regime in 2016
The Georgian prime minister’s special representative for relations with Russia, Zurab Abashidze, said that the visa regime between the two countries may be cancelled in 2016.
He noted that further simplification of the visa regime between Russia and Georgia will be discussed at his meeting with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.
"We will see how the visa regime works, whether there are problems and if there is anything we can do. I do not rule out that the visa regime will be cancelled this year" RIA Novosti cited Abashidze as saying.
The meeting between Abashidze and Karasin will be held on March 16 in Prague.
