Georgia reports 18 new COVID-19 cases

Georgia has reported 18 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 1,487.

As of today, 19 more patients have recovered, reaching the total number of recovered people to 1,240, reported.

Medical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia said that the that two seven patients contracted the virus from contact from infected individuals, 11 cases were ‘imported’ of which two are truck drivers.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, 19 people have died of the virus. As of now, 5,524 people are in quarantine, while 221 are in hospital.
