Georgia reports 7 new coronavirus cases
Georgia has reported seven new cases of the coronavirus earlier today.
Medical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia said that one new patient contracted the virus from contact from infected individuals, four cases were ‘imported’ of which one is a truck driver and two are medical workers.
Ezurgbaia added that currently 259 people are undergoing treatment at Covid centres, Agenda.ge reported.
In total 1,150 people have recovered from Covid-19 in Georgia, 19 people have died of the virus in the country, 6,018 people are in quarantine, and 41 citizens of Georgia have been transported home from abroad for treatment.
Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 1,436 cases of the coronavirus.
