Georgia reports 707 new cases of coronavirus, 8 deaths
According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 24,823 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 16,878 antigen tests and 7,945 PCR tests, InterPressNews reports.
As a result of the testing, 707 new cases of virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 288,396. As of April 10, the daily positive rate is 2.85%, for the last 14 days - 2.26%, and for 7 days - 2.50%.
In the last 24 hours, 592 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 277,303. 8 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,877 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 707 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 408 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 61, Imereti - 47, Kvemo Kartli - 22, Shida Kartli - 22, Guria - 26, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 71, Kakheti - 26, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 20, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 2, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2.
