Georgian Ambassador to UK named Diplomat of the Year from Eurasia
Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom Tamar Beruchashvili has been named Diplomat of the Year from Eurasia, the Georgian Foreign Ministry's press service said.
Beruchashvili was recognised as one of the most influential diplomats based in the UK at Tata DIPLOMAT Magazine 2017 annual Awards Ceremony on Monday.
The event brought together Ambassadors and High Commissioners from over 95 countries and diplomats from over 120 countries and was held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
In its ninth year, the awards ceremony recognised the outstanding work and achievements of London’s diplomatic community, who are trying to better their nations’ well-being.
DIPLOMAT magazine identified 10 categories that recognise different levels of diplomacy, and winners were nominated by their peers.
Beruchashvili, who served as Georgia’s Foreign Minister in 2014-2015, has been Georgia’s Ambassador to the UK since March of 2016, Agenda.ge reported.
