"Good impetus to development of Russia-Saudi Arabia relations"
Russian President Vladimir Putin told about his meeting with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud behind closed doors, speaking at the talks with the participation of the delegations. According to him, the current visit by Saudi Arabia’s King to Russia "will give a good impetus to the development of our inter-state relations".
"We have held detailed talks behind closed doors to talk about bilateral relations and the situation in the region. That was a very meaningful, substantive and confidential conversation. We are glad to welcome the Saudi king during his first visit to Moscow," Putin stressed.
King Salman, in turn, noted similarity of the two countries' views on many regional, international problems. "I can say that our relations are keynoted by the similarity of views on many regional and international problems. Bilateral coordination is continuing on everything that promotes stronger security and the prosperity of our countries," King Salman said.
He also invited Putin to pay a visit to Saudi Arabia. "I am pleased to send to Your Excellency an invitation to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to continue our consultations. We are grateful to you, Mr. President for the hospital reception we enjoy," King Salman said.
Putin has accepted the invitation. "Thank you for you invitation, I remember my previous visit to your country and will definitely take advantage of your invitation to visit Saudi Arabia once more," Putin promised.
King Salman said that Saudi Arabia seeks to continue cooperation with Russia for achievement of stability on global oil markets. "We are eager to pursue positive cooperation between our nations for achievement of stability on global oil markets, which will facilitate growth of the global economy," the King added.
