Illegal import of medicines from Georgia thwarted in Armenia
Employees of Armenian State Revenue Committee’s (SRC) anti-smuggling department thwarted an attempt of illegal import of 43 kg of medicines through the Bagratashen customs checkpoint on the border with Georgia.
The medicines were found in a car owned by an Armenian citizen. They were hidden in a cache between the rear seats and the trunk, ARKA reported.
The citizen is accused of violation of Article 201 of the Customs Code of Armenia (movement of goods across the customs border with concealment from customs control).
