According to the information released by the National Center for Disease Control, all the infected are foreign visitors, have been isolated.
"As part of its competence, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health is constantly monitoring the spread of SARS-CoV-2 variants in the country. The Indian variant has been detected among five tourists and all of them have already been isolated. They entered Georgia on different dates, from the same country, but are citizens of different countries. Three of them have already left the country.
"According to the epidemiological data, their clinical condition is satisfactory," the statement said.
