International Black Sea Day celebrated today
Today the International Day of the Black Sea is celebrated around the world. It was established in Istanbul on October 31th in 1996, when the representatives of the governments of Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Georgia agreed and signed the strategic plan of action to save the Black Sea.
The need for such a step was caused by the increasing threat of destruction of unique natural complexes of the Black Sea. At the same time, the politicians decided to celebrate on October 31st the International Black Sea Day, Sputnik - Georgia reminds.
