Iran executes 8 ISIL convicts over twin terror attacks in Tehran

Eight ISIL members convicted of terrorism were executed in Iran this morning for last year’s twin attacks in Tehran that killed 18 innocent people and wounded dozens more, Mehr news agency reported.

The 8 executed men had been arrested in the aftermath of the June 2017 twin attacks on Iranian Parliament building and the Mausoleum of late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran.

They had been sentenced to death in May by Iranian Islamic Revolution Court-Tehran branch and had been convicted of financially and logistically helping the 6 ISIL attackers who were killed during the assault last year.
