Iran refuses to import wheat

Iran has refused to import wheat in 2016. The Director of the Department of Commerce of the Ministry of Agriculture  Seyed Jemaah Madras, explained that there was a special order, according to which the Ministry of Trade was prohibited from accepting orders for the purchase of grain, as Iran has enough in store.

In addition, it is expected that in the period 2017-2018 the country will produce enough wheat, therefore the ban on imports may be extended, reports.
