Iran to pay oil for Russian goods

Iran is ready to make an agreement on supplies of 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day to Russia within the next 10-15 days, Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said at a meeting with Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak.

Vaezi noted that the Iranian Deputy Minister of Petroleum for International Affairs and Trading Amir-Hossein Zamaninia is a member of the delegation, and he is ready to hold talks on this issue, as well as on the issue of our working group on energy, Sputnik reported.

In early March, Novak said the sides are "discussing the terms" of the potential agreement, noting that the deliveries may constitute 100,000 barrels a day and five million metric tons a year.
